Our Approach

SIBAC Commitments

In recognition of the complexity and diversity of the southern interior, SIBAC commits to becoming a resource where all people can access information and support to assist them in developing.

SIBAC commits to become a place where communities and peoples can come together to develop strategies and opportunities posed by the beetle epidemic.

Stakeholder Participation

Communication is challenged by the size and diversity of the southern interior region. SIBAC invites all interested parties to take part in helping to shape actions that encourage diversification and growth of the region’s economy. SIBAC hosted 22 public information and exchange meetings throughout the Southern Interior April to September 2008. Stakeholder recommendations and opinions have been crucial in guiding the development of SIBAC’s final report to the Provincial Government.

SIBAC encourages all stakeholders to participate in the analysis projects underway and/or planned.
